For Dr mick Molloy, you have posted a pic of Syd Millar - one of the head honchos of the IRB and never an LI player as far as I know.

Thanks Kealy hadn't spotted that ... the pic comes from a BBC news item only it's of Syd Millar announcing the appointment of Mick Molloy (doh!). HillBilly thanks for the links to the pics, I've (ahem) grabbed copies for when we have details of Saunders and Staples as I've never been able to find out what they did after rugby or are up to now. Any ideas?

Senor

Sorry I forgot to tell you that I recently changed the picture on the thread as I had re-read the article and noticed I had put SM's picture in by mistake.

Wasn't Mister Staples something lucrative "in the City"?

But then, aren't a lot of 'em!

I guess Jim Staples now works for Barclays, as he captained the Barclays team in the Companies Korfball tournament on 28th June 2005 at Clapham Common. They didn’t win, but were conspicuous by their physical approach:-

“Barclays on the other hand, captained by ex-Ireland rugby international Jim Staples, prefer to use the tactic of physical domination, with their own special interpretation of the non-contact rule”.
