EL NINHO SCORES

It gets better. Our own Juan Manuel scores the first Puma try in their game against the Boks albeit in a losing effort.

The guy will be a legend for Irish if we can hold onto him. It is an exciting time to be a supporter of London Irish, isn't it?

The link thing looks easy too. Did the Beeb have a reporter at teh game? I don't think so.

Did he score? All the match reports say it was Agustín Durand, Francisco Leonelli and Manuel Contepomi who scored Argentina's tries, not himself!

Run of Play
90 Knock-ons from both sides sees referee blow full time on this match. A much better second half and a good win for the Boks.
88 Eddie Andrews on for Jacobus Petrus du Randt
86 The Boks steal a lineout five metres from their own line and the Pumas have pretty much lost their last meaningful try-scoring opportunity.
83 Hanyani Masana Shimange on for John William Smit
83 The Pumas have one last desperate shot at the Boks line. The visitors defend strongly and after tackling the Pumas back 20 metres the home side are blown up for destructive running.
79 Martin Scelzo on for Omar (Jose) Hasan (Jalil)
78 Percy Montgomery Missed Conversion
77 Juan Smith Try - Van der Berg breaks around a ruck, and the Bok support players are quick to pick up and drive from there. Juan Smith is the last Bok to pick it up before the tryline comes up, and the flank dives over for the try.
75 Martin Schusterman on for Juan Manuel Leguizamon
74 Michael Claassens on for Johannes Conradie
69 Jantjes joins the line with pace and is straight though the midfield. He joins up with Van der Linde who finds Du Randt. The ball comes out and the Boks have a man over, but De Villiers' pass finds an Argentinean defender and the chance is lost.
68 Manuel Carizza on for Pablo Bouza
66 Albert van den Berg on for John Botha
58 Johannes Conradie Drop Goal - The Boks are stopped on the line again, but the Pumas were offside. Conradie drops when he hears the ref shout 'advantage', and it's over.
56 The Boks launch a maul when they win a lineout ten metres out. They are stopped just short of the line and look to attack the blindside. Matfield is tackled back and the ball is lost when Van der Linde gets it with three defenders on him. The home side gets a scrum on the 22.
52 Felipe Contepomi Penalty - The Boks pull down a Puma maul. Contepomi adds the first second-half points for the home side.
50 Jean de Villiers Yellow Card - De Villiers tries to wrestle the ball from the grasp of Borges, but only succeeds in pushing the wing into a ditch surounding the field. The centre gets yellow-carded.
48 Percy Montgomery Penalty - Percy slots a penalty from the ten-matre line and the Bok lead is stretched somewhat.
45 Percy Montgomery Conversion - Montgomery adds value and the Boks have the perfect start to a half.
44 Jaque Fourie Try - Conradie breaks around a ruck. He draws the fullback and passes to Fourie who runs over untouched.
43 Russell restarts the match with a deep kick and Hernandez clears well from his own line.
43 Schalk Burger Jnr on for Solomzi Tyibilika
42 Felipe Contepomi Conversion - The halftime whistle goes.
41 Manuel Contepomi Try - Felipe Contepomi steps past a Smit tackle and gets the ball away to his brother Manuel after drawing the last defender. The try will put the home team in the lead at halftime.
39 The Boks go offside trying to stop one-off driving by the Puma forwards close to the line. The penalty is kicked to touch.
34 Percy Montgomery Conversion - Percy converts and the Boks take the lead.
33 Percy Montgomery Try - A strong midfield drive by Du Randt gets the Bok backs on the front-foot. Smith breaks, gets away to Russell who puts Montgomery away to score.
28 Percy Montgomery Penalty - For the third time a promising Bok maul is pulled down. This time the penalty is accompanied by a stern warining from the referee. Montgomery adds thre more to the Bok tally.
24 Felipe Contepomi Missed Conversion
23 Francisco Javier Leonelli Morey Try - The Pumas escape from their own 22 when a silly De Villiers pass is intercepted. Contepomi kicks through to the left-hand corner where Morey just has to fall on the ball to score.
21 Brent Russell on for Andre Pretorius
17 Felipe Contepomi Missed Conversion
16 Agustín Durand Try - The Pumas pull in a whole host of Bok defenders with a maul. Durand breaks off and brushes off Conradie before going over to score the opening try of the match.
14 Percy Montgomery Penalty - The Pumas collapse another Bok maul. This time the penalty is closer and it's Montgomery who lines it up. The result remains a solid three points though.
10 Argentina have the put-in to a 5-metre scrum and look very threatening. The Bok frontrow steps up to the plate and push the highly-rated Puma scrum off their ball to escape from their own line.
8 Andre Pretorius Penalty - The Boks launch a maul from a lineout just short of halfway. It is pulled down and the Boks win a penalty. Pretorius will take this long attempt. He strikes it well and looks up to see the flags raised. Scores are level.
4 Felipe Contepomi Penalty - The Bok forwards are under pressure early on their own line. Hands in the ruck sees a very kickable penalty being given away. Contepomi puts the home team in an early lead.
1 Contepomi starts the match in sunny conditions in Buenos Aires. His kick comes down just after he 22 where Fourie gathers but is tackled high. The Boks win an early penalty.
