For the last three four years of my career there was always some form of ailment or injury to manage. I was either on anti-inflammatories or I was icing constantly to make sure I squeezed every drop of my body out for the weekend.
Worth a read.
This cruel country has driven me down, teased me and lied.
I've only sad stories to tell to this town
My dreams have withered and died.

It is a shame he has been so injury-prone. He was great with us and I was very disappointed when he left. I wonder how much the psychological has influenced the physical when it comes to his injury record. It doesn't sound to me that he'll be back playing again. I'd like to hear his commentating. I hope it is more enthusiastic and optimistic than his state of mind would appear to indicate it might be. Can we listen to it anywhere?
