Good over evil!

I like Brian Smith. He is straight speaking, committed and intelligent. He speaks and writes well.

But much as I appreciate his end of season message his final words are very enigmatic.
He finishes with the Irish phrase 'Maitheas os cionn olc'. This is a toast or wish and means 'Good over evil'. I wonder is this because he wishes to see the back of a tough season? Or is it a reference to doing the double on Bath next season?

The Mammy's fond of using a similar sort of a toast. She uses the phrase 'Bás in Éirinn' and she sups here medicinal Bushmills. It kinda means 'May you die in Ireland'. It's an old exiles' toast, but a bit disconcerting if you leaving to go to a match in Dublin.

Gabriel, the good over evil concept is a Smith incarnation for this season. He has waxed lyrical and incomprehensibly to some or most people on the subject.

More marketing bollix talk.
