Interviews
In the Features area you'll be able to re-read AlecW's jovial interview with
Mr Ian Robertson of the BBC
regarding the improbability of ever getting a large share of the British media's attention unless we sign Wilkinson, BOD, Lomu, Umaga, Campese, Carling, Doddie Weir, Dusty O'Hare, Wendall Bleeding Hello Sailer and some fertilized eggs from Charlotte Church! The interview is here by the way.
PaulHP has done a shed-load of work for LI Old Boys thread and has also now profiled and interviewed
Reverend Robin Roe C.B.E., M.C., M.A.
and found some great articles in a 1969 edition of Rugby World
The Hooker becomes a Monk
The Revival of London Irish.
Paul has now also interviewed
Niall Woods
Harry Rea
Kevin Putt
Ken Kennedy
Mansell Heslip
Pat Parfrey
Peter Enevoldson
Clive Meanwell
Gary Halpin
George Crawford
You can also find JonnyC's expanding series on Coaches: Past and Present there too with Part One being a look at Brian Smith and Part Two being a squint at Gary Gold.
Articles
Now added to the Features area is the Fields of Athenry article ... A Simple Folk Song? and the article about the history of London Irish badges.
Match Reviews and Reports
The Sunbury Centre Match Reviews and Reports area can be found at
http://www.london-irish.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=2
or by accessing it from the Front Page. It contains all our match reports after they have had just under a week on the General Messageboard. They will be 'stickied' initially before being put out to pasture in the Reviews and Reports area.
Match Previews
The Match Previews also start out as 'stickied' threads here on the General Messageboard before finding their way to the comfortable surroundings of the aptly named Match Previews area
http://www.london-irish.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=5
where they can watch endless episodes of 'Last of the Summer Wine' and 'Crown Court' with a nice cup of tea and a digestive.
Video Clips
Once upon a time this was a vibrant and unique section of our site containing five pointer clips from our matches (provided by Bisach and InSight Corporate Video). It all got a bit messy because someone didn't like what we were doing and put a stop to it, so it now contains a few odd videos, cheesey montages and stuff I've nicked off the OSB
