Key Points

Declan Kidney (technical consultant) and Les Kiss (head coach) are joining London Irish with immediate effect

Kidney is a two-time European Rugby Champions Cup-winning coach with Munster and a Grand Slam-winning international head coach with Ireland

Kiss has extensive experience of success with Ireland, Ulster and the New South Wales Waratahs

The pair have been appointed on a three-year contract that remains in place regardless of whether London Irish are in the Aviva Premiership or the Greene King IPA Championship in 2018/19

The appointments have reunited the coaching team that won the Grand Slam for Ireland in 2009

Technical director Brendan Venter has left the club with immediate effect
This cruel country has driven me down, teased me and lied.
I've only sad stories to tell to this town
My dreams have withered and died.

It is certainly a statement of intent, let's hope they can work their magic quickly.
